DASL helps communities to improve their health and wellbeing in three ways:
We aim to provide advice, information, education and support to individuals, various communities and professionals.
We aim to offer information, advice and support to individuals, families, friends, carers and professionals to tackle emerging issues before they become problematic.
We aim to help people by providing therapeutic services such as one-to-one counselling, group based support and/or workshops. This may be in one of the following ways:
- Brief Advice and Information: Listening to the problem and supporting you to find the solution;
- Short Term Solution Focused Sessions: up to 6 weeks of support to work through a problem and find solutions;
- Longer Term Counselling: up to 12 sessions with a trained counsellor.
